AI-Generated Product Data

The AI Product Titles and Descriptions feature automatically generates unique, SEO-friendly product titles and descriptions by sending your vendor's product data to ChatGPT, which rewrites it into richer, more detailed listings. A before-and-after example is shown at the bottom of this article. 

How It Works

1. When you enable this feature, Spark Shipping takes all relevant data provided by your vendor.
2. This data is securely sent to ChatGPT, which analyzes and transforms it into a richer, more detailed product title and description.
3. The AI-generated content is then applied to your product catalog.

To see it in action, simply click Details on any product in your catalog. On the Vendor SKU page, you’ll find an example of the AI-generated title and description.

How to Enable This Feature

1. Navigate to the Vendor Product Catalog in Spark Shipping.
2. Look for the checkbox labeled “Use AI Description” (see screenshot below).
3. Enable the checkbox for the specific vendor you’d like to use this feature with.
4. Once enabled, any product data sent to your site for that vendor will include AI-generated titles and descriptions.

Why This Is Useful

1. Expands Vendor Data: Vendors often provide product data that is too brief or lacks detail. This feature takes what they provide and expands it significantly, resulting in a richer, more informative description.
2. Improves SEO Rankings:
   1. Vendor data is typically shared across all retailers, leading to duplicate content.
   2. Duplicate content causes Google to rank your site lower in search results.
   3. With AI-generated titles and descriptions, your product listings become unique, helping your site rank higher on Google.
3. Enhances Buyer Experience: Buyers appreciate detailed, descriptive product information, which makes shopping easier and more engaging. This richer content can lead to higher conversion rates.
4. Saves Time: Automates the process of creating professional titles and descriptions, letting you focus on other aspects of your business.

Can I update existing listings with AI-generated content?

Updating existing listings with AI-generated content is not yet available. This capability is currently in development and will be released in a future update. In the meantime, AI-generated content is applied automatically to any new product data sent to your site for vendors with the "Use AI Description" checkbox enabled. If you need to update an existing listing now, you can manually edit the product title and description directly in your catalog.

Why isn't this feature visible in my catalog?

If you don't see this feature in your catalog, it's likely because your current plan does not include this feature. Upgrading to the Growth or Premium plan will enable access. Review the pricing page or contact support to confirm which plans include AI Product Titles and Descriptions. Previously this note referenced the Startup plan. We recommend upgrading to our mid-tier or higher plan, known as Growth or Premium.
