How to fix: My product SKUs have a strange number attached to them

There are 3 scenarios where this can happen:

1) Products in your store are duplicated.

Spark Shipping requires unique SKUs for products. When products share the same SKU, Spark Shipping assigns a unique ID at the end of the SKU to make it unique.

To correct this, we recommend that you remove the duplicate SKUs from your store first. Then, run a data purge on the vendor in Spark Shipping (under the Maintenance Tab) and request a full products refresh from Spark Shipping support.

2) Products in your store were deleted and re-listed.

Spark Shipping does not remove products that were deleted in your store automatically. Instead, it will see the new version of each SKU as a duplicate instance so it assigns a unique ID at the end of the SKU to make it unique.

To correct this we would recommend that you run a purge on the vendor were products were deleted (under the Maintenance Tab), follow that by requesting a Full Products Refresh from Spark Shipping support, then proceed with re-mapping the SKUs to the correct vendor.

3) Variants in your store have the same SKU or a blank SKU.

In Spark Shipping, all products and variants are required to have a unique Product SKU.

In the case where variants do not have a unique SKU, Spark Shipping will add this extra ID after the SKU (to make it unique)

To correct this we would recommend that you update the products SKUs to make them unique in your store first. Follow that by requesting a data refresh from Spark Shipping support.
