My products are not showing images/pictures in the catalog (Google Chrome)

Fix missing product images and thumbnails caused by Google Chrome's mixed content security settings.

Sometimes when using Google Chrome, a security setting in the browser can prevent product images or image thumbnails from displaying correctly within your internal Spark Shipping catalog.

Important Note: This is a local browser display issue only. Your images are completely safe and will still display correctly on your live storefront or marketplace once pushed to your customers.

Why is this happening?

This occurs because of a Chrome security feature called Mixed Content Blocking.

The Spark Shipping platform is entirely secure (HTTPS). However, if a supplier provides product image links that use an older, unencrypted connection (HTTP), Chrome will automatically flag them as "Insecure content" and block them from loading in your dashboard.

The Workaround

To quickly allow Chrome to display your catalog images, follow these steps:

  1. In your Google Chrome address bar, click the lock or caution icon next to the URL.
  2. Click on Site settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Insecure content section.
  4. Change the drop-down setting from Block (default) to Allow.
  5. Refresh your Spark Shipping catalog page, and your images will now load normally.
