Spark Shipping can cross-map your products to multiple vendors at once.
This is a function that our support staff can run so please request it when you need it by contacting support@sparkshipping.com
How does it work?
Cross-mapping is a process that can be run for all products site-wide which means you cannot exclude certain products or vendors from this process. Once started, it will check every single SKU in Spark Shipping to be mapped.
Cross-mapping runs 2 rounds of checks:
Spark Shipping will first check the UPC of every single item and check it against all of your vendors catalog feeds. If it finds a matching UPC, it will automatically map your site's SKU to the vendor SKU.
Next, once all UPCs matches are found and mapped, Spark Shipping will look up both the MPN + Brand Name of your products against your vendors catalog feeds, if it finds products that share the same MPN+brand name, it will automatically map your product SKU to the vendor SKU.
For this process to work and for your products to be successfully mapped to the vendors, the vendors have to have catalog feeds loaded in Spark Shipping.
If you're just starting: Try to start with one vendor only (maybe the one with the best catalog feed). Think of it as your main vendor for listing products and push products from that vendors feed first. Once done, request cross-mapping to be run so those products can be linked to your other vendors in Spark Shipping as well.
Note: We recommend that you run a vendors SKU mapping export (Product SKU, Vendor SKU) before requesting this process. This is to ensure that we have a copy of the current SKU mapping before we run the process which allows us to reverse it incase any issues/errors arise.
