If you defined shipping methods (other than the vendor's default shipping method), such as expedited shipping, and they did not work, follow these directions to double-check your settings.
In this example order below, the customer paid extra for overnight shipping, but the vendor sent it standard ground shipping. However, the shipping method in the order did say that it was supposed to be expedited shipping.
Excerpt from the order below:
The shipping method name here is what Spark Shipping is pulling from your shopping cart.
Now let's look at the Spark Shipping methods that were defined:
- In the first column, the customer says the shipping method name is in their shopping cart (this is incorrect). The second column shows the vendor shipping code they are linking to; this way, the vendor knows to match up the customer's shipping method name with the vendor's equivalent shipping method.
- They have "UPS Next Day Air"
- But as we see from the first screenshot their shopping cart shows the name should be "United Parcel Service - UPS Next Day Air"
- Because this did not match verbatim, the correct association was not seen and the vendor just defaulted the order to their best way default shipping method.
Note: Spark Shipping Methods Match the Shipping Methods in Your Shopping Cart verbatim.
